Description:Assists Loan Manager in supervising, coordinating and directing credit union lending services. Ensures compliance of lending regulations, policies and procedures while serving members with efficient, quality service.

• Assists Loan Manager in hiring, supervising, training, planning, coordinating and evaluating the performance of the Loan Officers and Loan Collateral Professionals. Assists selecting subordinates with appropriate qualifications for those positions. Appraises subordinates annually on objective, measurable performance, makes compensation and promotion recommendations on the basis of total performance. Continually trains and monitors employee’s job performance and service standards. Cross trains and schedules employees to perform necessary backup for other credit union positions.
• Assists Loan Manager in evaluating practicality of policies and procedures; recommending revision of and implementation of new policies and procedures, ensuring the loan department is compliant.
• Gathers information for Loan Manager and assists in preparing and maintaining charts, graphs and reports pertaining to loan statistics.
• Collaborates with the Loan Manager to assure proper handling of procedures and work routines affecting the Loan department and for the improvement of the organization.
• Reviews and recommends departmental needs with the Loan Manager.
• Supervises work scheduling and work flow of daily routine loan operations. Ensures that high quality work and efficient operations are maintained.
• Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with established credit union policies and with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Keeps employees informed about credit union developments, new policies and procedures.
• Captures and tracks opportunity loans.
• Acts as a loan officer, processing and approving member loans within established policies and limits set.
• Works with Collections for member loan extensions.
• Works with Collection Personnel on the Collateral In Liquidation process. Overseeing the placing, pricing and sale of all repossessed vehicles. Maintains accurate tracking of vehicles and completing monthy reports.
• Maintains compliance knowledge and adheres to regulatory standards.
• Resolves account problems and provides information to members.
• Compiles reports for monthly loan /lending meetings and other requested reports.
• Completes CTRs for cash transactions exceeding $10,000. Provides CTRs to the BSA Compliance Officer for review, filing and records retention.
• Monitors and reports suspected money laundering, structuring, or other suspicious activity by completing the Internal Report of Suspicious Activity form.

• Continually seeks ways to improve operations and productivity and to meet established goals.
• Promotes positive attitude, cooperation and desire to cross-sell credit union services in personnel.
• Ensures that the credit union’s quality reputation is maintained and projected.
• Ensures that adequate supplies, forms and equipment are available for personnel.
• Oversees the releasing of collateral for members and processing payoffs as needed.
• Oversees and manages the daily CUDC Indirect Lending program.
• Keeps management informed of activities, progress toward established objectives and of significant problems. Requests assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude toward our members and other employees, in compliance with our Service Standards.
• Participates in the Manager meetings on an on-going basis.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of credit union operations, policies and procedures.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of the credit union account structure and types in both share and loan areas.
• Requires a thorough understanding the data processing system affecting member level transactions.
• Requires thorough knowledge of IRA accounts, forms and regulations.
• Requires thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.
• Requires thorough knowledge of Credit Reports and Fair Isaac scoring.
• Requires knowledge of loan documents required for each loan type.
• Requires working knowledge of PC software for word processing and spreadsheets.
• Requires thorough knowledge of 1st mortgage lending.
• Requires a working knowledge of the Windows operating system.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of interoffice email.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of the lending regulations.

• Ability to operate Personal Computer (PC) keyboard to input data.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct the schedule of others.
• Ability to read computer screen and printouts.
• Ability to communicate with members and other employees verbally, in writing and on the phone.
• Ability to detect and trace errors and make necessary corrections.
• Ability to perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
• Requires the ability to identify problem areas in the department and make independent decisions to resolve problems that relate to standard operating procedures. Problems that occur out of the normal operations are communicated to the EVP.
• Requires conceptual skills, which involve the ability to see the organization as a whole and to understand how various functions of the organization complement one another, how the organization relates to its environment and how changes in one part of the organization affect the rest of the organization.
• Requires human skills that build cooperation within the organization. Requires the ability to communicate, lead, motivate and manage individuals and groups. Requires the ability to interact and consult with the management team in planning.
• Ability to type 40 words per minute.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
• Ability to perform well under stressful situations.
• Ability to recognize and follow credit union structure, goals and chain of command.

• Minimum of BS Degree in Business Administration, CCUE or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years credit union experience and knowledge of FFCU credit union operations, policies and procedures.
• Prior supervisory experience of professional level employees preferred.
